GRAB BAG HIRE - CODE OF PRACTICE

GRAB BAG HIRE

We can hire out Grab Bags in order to upgrade existing RORC pack liferafts into SOLAS B pack liferafts.

Grab bags complying with Annex 2, Notes 1.5 of the Code of Practice for the Safety of Small Commercial Motor and Sailing Vessels up to 24 metres.

Grab Bags have the following contents:-

1 x Second Sea Anchor

1 x First Aid Kit, type Category C

1 x Daylight Signalling Mirror

1 x Whistle

1 x MCA type Radar Reflector

2 x Red parachute rockets

3 x Red hand flares

1 x Buoyant orange smoke signal

Thermal Protective Aids - quantity depending on size of grab bag required. Requirement is for 1 TPA per person, therefore, in a 4 person grab bag there would be 4 TPA's.

1 x SOLAS Number 2 Table

1 x Grab Bag for holding above contents.

Hire periods shown are per annum. Longer or shorter hire periods can be agreed, just contact us with your requirements.
